The School of Management at IMS Unison University inaugurated its two-day National Conference titled “Emerging Technologies and Sustainable Business Development” on 27th - 28th March 2023.

The beginning of the event was marked with a welcome note by Dean School of Management Prof. Amit Adlakha, stating that the university is determined to contribute significantly towards research and development irrespective of the devastating pandemic that persists and has impacted the entire world.

The introductory remark was given by Brigadier (Dr.) M. Srinivasan threw light on the significance of Sustainable development which is a multi-disciplinary area of corporate emerging objectives. A welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro Vice-Chancellor (IUU). A brief about the conference was given by Prof. Amit Adlakha, Conference Chair, wherein he shared his valuable inputs about the conduct of the conference and promulgated the technical sessions that have been scheduled to be conducted in two days.

The Chief Guest of the conference, Dr. Lovneesh Chanana, an eminent Sr. Vice President and Regional Head for Government Affairs, Asia Pacific, and Japan SAP, shared his words of wisdom on the conference theme. Toward the conclusion of the event, the Keynote Session was given by Dr. Santanu Roy, Dean School of Business & Economics, Adamas University, Kolkata.

A total of six technical sessions were held during two days of the conference which were chaired by eminent scholars from various reputed institutions and industries. Academicians, researcher scholars and students from various domains presented their research during these technical sessions. A total of 45 research papers were presented by the participants. The Valedictory Function Session starts with a warm welcome of the chief guest and all stakeholders of the conference by Ms. Sneha Badola. The Chief Guest of the valedictory function of the National Conference shared his views and enlightened the audience. Towards the end of the event, the Best Paper Award and certificate of all technical sessions were distributed by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Ravikesh Srivastava. Summary of the Conference was presented by Prof. Amit Adlakha, Conference Chair, National Conference and Dean, School of Management, IMS Unison University. The conference ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks offered by Dr. Tripti Sharma, Co-convenor of the National Conference, to all luminaries, contributors and organising teams for making this academically enriching event a grand success! The session was concluded with the National Anthem.

School of Law, IMS Unison University successfully conducted the 1st International Conference in collaboration with Kathmandu University Nepal on “Transforming International Dispute Resolution during a paradigm shift in geopolitics” The presence of dignitaries, an impressive lineup of participants from all across the globe, the support of our knowledge and media partners, and an array of over 35 carefully selected, well-researched papers on the subject came together to help Team International Conference, 2023 to admirably close this huge endeavour The 2 day conference had its insightful Key-note Sessions, 3 Technical Sessions, Inaugural and Valedictory Ceremony.

The conference, without a shade of doubt, disseminated knowledge on the ADR domain and made the academic fraternity stronger. The 2 day Conference offered opportunities to the participating audience to interact with highly reputed keynote speakers, academicians, scholars and experts who deliberated upon and covered topics around the conference theme. The conference comprised incisive and insightful discussions on various facets of alternate dispute resolution. The Inaugural ceremony commenced with the introduction of the conference by Conference Chair Prof. (Dr) Ashish Verma, who lucidly presented the conference theme, Followed by words of wisdom by Prof. (Dr.) Gurdip Singh, Chancellor IMS Unison University.

The Hon'ble Chief Guest. Prof Annapurna Nautiyal, Vice Chancellor, HNB Garhwal University, gave an inaugural address whereby she gave a perceptive session on the conference theme, along with the release of the conference souvenir followed by a felicitation address by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Brigadier (dr) M. Srinivasan and this lead to the conclusion of the inaugural ceremony.

Luminaries from the world dealing in the domain of ADR, Mr Lorenzo Gradoni (Senior Research Fellow, Max Planck Institute, Luxemburg), Ms Gabriela (Mediator, International Labour Institute, Geneva) gave key-note addresses which were followed by 2 technical sessions and lead to the conclusion of day 1. Day 2 began in all its grandeur with keynote addresses by Dr. Jorge Issac (Legal Consultant at Catholic University of Santa Maria), followed by Technical Session 3.

The Valedictory ceremony addresses of Hon’ble pro-vice chancellor Prof. (Dr) Ravikesh Srivastava, Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. (Dr) S. Surya Prakash, Vice Chancellor, DSNLU Vihakhpattnam, Prof. Dr. Ashish Verma, Conference chair offered an apt conclusion of the conference with specific summing up of the theme. The conference owes its success to the able guidance of Prof. (Dr) Ashish Verma, Conference Chair & Dean SOL IMS Unison University core committee members – Dr Shalini Saxena, Dr Mohammed Shoaib, Dr Udai Pratap Singh, Mr Ashutosh and the student organising team. School of Law IMS Unison University looks forward to collaborating with Kathmandu University Nepal for further events and aims to bring a more meliorated 2nd Edition of the International Conference next year.

One Day National Conference organised by the School of Media and Communication Design, IMS Unison University, Dehradun (IUU) organised a One- Day National Conference on the theme “Media, Culture and Society: Emerging Trends, Issues and Challenge” on December 10, 2022.

Around 30 faculty and research scholars from various academic institutions like Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Visva-Bharati University, Lovely Professional University, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar, Central University of Punjab, Bangalore University, Sikkim University, Adamas University, Kolkata, Chitkara University, among others participated in the conference.

The Chief Guest was esteemed media academician Prof. Biswajit Das, Founding Director of the Centre for Culture, Media & Governance, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. The Conference started with the welcoming of the guests and participants by the Master of Ceremony & Convener, National Conference, Assistant Professor (SOMCD), Dr. K. N. Singha.

Dr. Sushil Kumar Rai, Conference Chairman and Associate Dean & Head of SOMCD, welcomed the Chief Guest, the Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Ravikesh Srivastava, and the participants. The Pro Vice-Chancellor stressed on the importance of developing a research acumen to sustain oneself in today’s academic sphere. Prof. Biswajit Das said that human ideas and transmitted, transferred and travelled throughout the globe with the help of media. He is also said that the information is intangible and keeps on growing.

This was followed by a vote of thanks by Dr Purnima Oraon, Assistant Professor, and Co-Convener. Technical Session I, chaired by Dr. Raghavendra Mishra, Professor & HOD, Department of Journalism and Mass, Communication, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Madhya Pradesh, began with paper presentations. The session was moderated and co-chaired by Dr. K. Nungshithoibi Singha.

Technical Session II, chaired by Dr Rajesh Kumar, Associate Professor, at Doon University, saw paper presentations from across the country. The session was moderated and co-chaired by Dr. Shah Alam, Associate Professor, SOMCD. The National E-Conference concluded with a summary of the event by Dr. Alam, wherein he congratulated everyone on the stupendous success of the event.
