    "FIESTA MEXICANA" -A MEXICAN THEME LUNCH, ROLLS OUT AT SOHM

    FIESTA MEXICANA" -A Mexican Theme Lunch was organized at School of Hospitality Management on February, 5th, 2020, with full fanfare and aimed at learning outcomes for hospitality students of conceptualization and execution of Food Promotion Activities as Food Service Managers. The Fiesta was part of experiential learning for hospitality students and it was a maiden event in Dehradun, hosted by any hospitality institute.

    The Advance Training Restaurant was decorated with vibrant colors of Mexican culture and theme. The host student dressed in Mexican Folk attire infused an authentic flavor to the festival. The luncheon was enjoyed with rendition of Mexican Salsa dance and musical curated by hospitality students

    Fiesta Mexicana" had illustrious guests on campus and off campus, especially Honourable Shri N. Ravi Shanker, Chancellor-DIT University, Honourable Dr. Gurdip Singh, Chancellor-IMS Unison University, Dr. Kuldeep K Raina, Vice Chancellor -DIT University, Dr. Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro- Vice Chancellor-IUU, Mrs Anita Bahari, Senior Advocate -Delhi High Court, Deans and Head from IMS & DIT University.

     

    The Fiesta took the guests on a brief journey to savor the flavors of Mexico. The curated Mexican Cuisine buffet highlighted Sopa de Tortilla, Ensalada Mexicana, Nachos Cargados, Tacos Meurcoles ,Arroz Rojo, Burritos Crujientes, Guiso de Garbanzos, Quesadillas Mexicana and Cazuela de Enchilada and finishing off with dessert Trifles Mexicana. The luncheon was washed down with Margaritas.

    The salsa bar had Pico De Gallo, Salsa Roja, Jalepeno Salsa Verde, Salsa Ranchera and Gucamole.

    The parting was with Mexican greetings; Muchas Gracias and Adios!!
