Guest Lecture on the Topic "Police Public Relation and Contemporary Policing"

On 7^th February 2020 the School of Law organised a Special Guest Lecture on the topic "Police Public Relation and Contemporary Policing". The lecture was delivered by Shri Ashok Kumar, IPS, Director General, Law and Order, Uttarakhand Police, Government of Uttarakhand. Dean, School of Law, Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Sharma, welcomed the Chief Guest and impigned upon the need of Coordinated efforts between the Police and Public. The lecture of the Chief Guest focused on the various factors which are proving to be an impediment in improving the relationship between the police and the public. The Hon’ble Chief Guest threw light on the various problems inherent in the Police structure and enlightened the students from all Schools of IMS Unison University, in a manner which will help them realize the important role played by the police in the betterment of the society. The event was graced by Hon’ble Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Gurdeep Singh, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Gautam Sinha, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ravikesh Shrivastava, Dean School of Law Prof. (Dr.) R.N. Sharma and deans and faculties of the all departments of the University.
