Internal Faculty Seminar on the Topic " Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse: A Socio-Legal Analysis with special reference to POCSO Act and Protection of Human Rights".

Ms. Neha Singh, presented her research paper in Internal Faculty Seminar on the above topic at School of Law, IMS Unison University, Dehradun. She has discussed various kinds of abuses which are suffered by children in the present scenario, especially sexual abuse, its symptoms and their ramifications in the light of growing incidents of sexual crimes against children which is a matter of grave concern for the entire world. She has also laid emphasis on the Legal Regime governing this menace with special reference to provisions of POCSO Act, 2012 and the recent amendments incorporated in POCSO Bill, 2019 indicating the major drawbacks in the present Bill as well as recommended suggestions for prevention of Child Sexual Abuse. During presentation all the Faculty Members of Law were present.
