    Cinema is more than an entertainment form for Indians. It is a form of creative expression with the Bollywood industry at the forefront. A Master Class: A dialogue on Cinema and Celebs by popular Bollywood Director Ali Abbas Zaffar was organised for the students of School of Mass Communication at Vedanta Hall.


    Ali Abbas Zafar is an acclaimed Bollywood Director and screenwriter who has films like Sultan, Bharat, Tiger Zinda Hai, Gunday and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan under his belt. Ali Abbas Zafar in this Master Class organised by IUU and sponsored by Amar Ujala discussed his journey to Bollywood, initial years of his life in Dehradun, filmmaking in Bollywood, nuances of screenplay, working with actors like Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh and how Bollywood is a major contributor to the Indian economy. Students of SOMC got an opportunity to ask questions about the industry and his work. Ali Zafar then proceeded to patiently answer their questions, which clarified their doubts and helped them understand filmmaking as a career path. Overall it was an enriching experience for the students of SOMC.
