Model United Nations, one of the most awaited events of Lamhe 2019, was conducted successfully. More than 45 participants from various universities participated in the event. United Nations Framework Committee on Climate Change was set up to deliberate upon the adverse effects of climate change. The committee also drafted an emergency action plan on the same.
The event witnessed active participation and deliberations by the delegates acting as representatives of various countries. They showed concerns over climate change and questioned other nations over the steps taken by them to sustain the environment. The committee was chaired by three experts who kept the participants engaged with their knowledge over the matter and also questioned them to take the discussion forward. Ujjwal Vats from IMS Unison University was declared the Best Delegate and was handed over the winning trophy. Pranav Gupta from IMS Unison University was awarded with High Commendation was handed over the Runner-up trophy. The special mentions were awarded to Paridhi Garg and Shivang Dhingra from IMS Unison University and Nabeel Abdullah from ICFAI University.
