National Youth Parliament Competition (Day 1)

IMS Unison University’s 5th National Youth Parliament Competition, Rashtraniti proceeded apace, in all its grandeur. The inauguration was preceded today by Chief Guest Shri Prem Chand Aggarwal, Hon’ble Speaker, Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.

 

The day one of the exuberant event, commenced with the registration of the participants; they received kits sponsored by O5 Rental and King’s Harbor.

 

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Ram Nivas Sharma, Dean, School Of Law was followed by an overview of the competition by Mr. Harshit Agarwal, Faculty Convener, Rashtraniti- 2019, who expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest for adding lustre to the event by his presence. He apprised, the significance of national priorities and enlightened everyone with the Agendas to be discussed in the sessions during the Competition.

 

Professor Dr. Gurdip Singh, Chancellor, further enlightened the afternoon by his exhilarating words of wisdom.

 

Further, Dr. Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro Vice Chancellor, admonished the august gathering by extending his heartening welcome to the honorable Chief Guest and also extended his greetings to all the participants, from all esteemed universities.

 

Honorable, Shri Prem Chand Aggarwal, Hon’ble Speaker, Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in his adrenalizing declamation, foremost enlightened the gathering about the salience of the knowledge of latest laws, in the rendition of an argument, he further acquainted the participants, on the exigency of youth participation and unraveled the gravity of positive approach and transparency in making every decision. He replenished the participants, with the insight of the Women Empowerment and No Gender Discrimination.

 

Mr. Nikunj Singh Yadav, Faculty Co-Convener, Rashtraniti-2019, concluded the zealous inaugural ceremony with a gratified vote of thanks.

 

The Competition was bifurcated into 4 sessions of the four committees namely Lok Sabha discussing on the agenda of View of NDA Government, Stakeholders Meet having its focus on Deliberation on Gender Neutral Laws in India , The Indo-Pak Joint Cabinet Meet emphasizing on Tackling Border Disputes & Terrorists through Mutual Co-operation and The Press and Journalism Committee. The very dynamic first day of the competition ended with the students of School of Law presenting an indelible cultural evening.   The Competition had the participation of almost 150 delegates from different states and institutions. Few to be mentioned are Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, UPES Dehradun, Amity Noida, Siddhartha Law College, Graphic Era, ICFAI Law School Dehradun and Karnavati University beside others.
