PHOTO-ON 2025: A One-Day Certificate Workshop on Photography

The School of Mass Communication at IMS Unison University hosted PHOTO-ON 2025, a dynamic one-day certificate program themed “Anybody Can Learn Photography”, aimed at igniting visual creativity among students and photography enthusiasts. 

The day commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Khattri, Dean, School of Mass Communication, who emphasized the importance of visual storytelling in today’s media landscape. The event featured focused sessions led by our in-house experts. Mr. Akash Deep conducted a masterclass on Camera Hardware, while Mr. Rajdeep Kundu delved into the Principles and Composition of Photography, offering participants valuable technical and aesthetic insights. 

In the highlight of the day, a hands-on workshop was conducted by SoMC media team members Mr. Abhijeet Bharti and Mr. Aman Arya, where participants explored on-field shooting techniques, creative framing, and storytelling through lenses. 

The event concluded with an inspiring address by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Anil SubbaRao Paila, who encouraged participants to continue developing their creative potential. Attended by students from various schools, colleges, and universities, the event created a vibrant atmosphere of learning, collaboration, and innovation.
