Performance and Society: Liberal Arts on Stage

The School of Management and Liberal Arts at IMS recently hosted a transformative two-day workshop titled "Performance and Society: The Liberal Arts on Stage." This event brought together the expressive power of theatre, dance, and music to explore how ideas are expressed through movement and how performance can serve as a means of thinking. 

During the workshop, students engaged in storytelling, collaboration, and reflective practices. Each activity encouraged them to examine society not only through analysis but also through emotion, presence, and creative expression. 

The sessions highlighted the essence of liberal arts learning: dynamic, participatory, and deeply human. What unfolded was a vibrant space where minds engaged, voices connected, and learning transcended the traditional classroom. The workshop effectively showcased how the liberal arts can bring thoughts to life and empower students to understand the world through diverse lenses of performance and imagination.
