STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAM-2021 (Day-1)

IMS Unison University organized the first day of Student Orientation Program-2021 on Wednesday; 01st September 2021 through online platform. The event was organized to welcome the new students of all programs being run in the university. The objective of the event was to familiarize the new students who have stepped into, all together a new world with great zeal and enthusiasm to acquire higher education in various professional domains namely Management Studies, Mass Communication, Legal Studies, Hospitality Management and Liberal Arts. The master-of-ceremony, Ms. Sneha Badola was profusely elated to welcome all the students whole-heartedly.

The beginning of the landmark day was made with a motivational talk by our distinguished Professor, Dr. Gurdip Singh, Honourable Chancellor, IMS Unison University. He highlighted the core excellence of the university that relies on the research-driven education to empower the students with the wings of knowledge and to instill the spirit in students to practice innovation through multi-disciplinary education. The next session witnessed an insightful delivery by our luminary Prof. Gautam Sinha, Vice Chancellor, IMS Unison University. Prof. Sinha welcomed the students by apprising the students of the educational pedagogies that have been adopted by our university, i.e., a blend of academics and industry-interaction with emphasis in overall personality development of students. He threw light on the relevance of a technology-driven education that has enabled learners sitting miles away from the epicenter of learning to acquire quality education by virtue of online platforms and through effective use of social media vehicles.

The third session was marked with an informational speech by an eminent academician Prof. Ravikesh Srivastava. He addressed the students with a cogitation on Education during Pandemic. Prof. Srivastava reiterated on the prominent-ghastly situation of pandemic and the challenges that are being faced by the entire world. He briefed the students about the contributions of all schools towards shaping a promising career of their respective students and how all schools are phenomenal in working collaboratively for the benefit of the students by facilitating their attitude building, skills development and knowledge enhancement that may augment their capacities leading to embellishment of their profiles to commensurate the requirements of the industry. He also importance of 3S – Speed, Size and Synergy to sustain and progress.

The fourth and the special session had an inspirational talk by the chief guest, a specialist in industrial relations, Dr. Sandeep Roy, Head-Human Resources, Barun Beverages (Pepsi).  Mr. Roy concisely discussed about his incredible experiences as an impeccable human resource professional. He laid emphasis on the role of technology in transforming organisational culture and the industry-needs towards effective talent management pertaining to various industries. The paradigm shift that has taken place from manual work to IT-driven processes and the visible change in the modes of communication. He visualized the students about the immense array of opportunities to take multiple projects. Last, but not the least, the session was delivered by one of the successful alumni of the IUU, Mr. Ajay Gupta (MBA 2004 batch) having more than 17 years of industry-experience, holding a senior corporate profile of Deputy General Manager in Green Panel Industries was inspirative towards students to foster in them the spirit of learning by heart and enjoying all aspects of university-life. He enriched the new students by sharing his varied experiences of accomplishments and remarked IMS Unison University to be at par with other elite management institutions and business schools in the country. The first day of the online Orientation Programme was a success with more than 250 who participative in the interactive session with our dignitaries and the guest speaker.
