School of Mass Communication celebrates World Radio Day

On February 13, 2019 the School of Mass Communication (SOMC) celebrated the 8 edition of 'World Radio Day' started by UNESCO. The theme for this year's celebration was 'Dialogue, Tolerance and Peace'. To commemorate this day, SOMC conceptualized a Radio Show in its radio lab. The show focused on students sharing fond memories of them listening to the radio with their family and friends. They also created their own jingle for the radio program and discussed various creative ideas. Students were split into two groups: Content and Technical. The show was executed by students in the most creative and professional manner. Subhash Singh Yadav of BAJMC VI and Anushri Shukla of MAJMC IV donned the role of entertaining RJ's. The importance of the use of radio was highlighted in the show. The exercise also helped the students to get some useful hands-on practice on radio consoles.
