    7th National Moot Court Competition Day-3

    IMS Unison University’s jubilant 7th National Moot Court Competition came to a close today in the Valedictory ceremony embellished by Chief Guest Honorable  Justice Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Judge High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan, Jodhpur.

    The euphoric Day 3 of this mega-event began with the ostentatious Semi Final round. The teams came up with extremely novel and onerous arguments, and the top four teams which inexorably presented their disputation to the judges and answered their profound and arduous questions with their skillful advocacy and precisely contrived arguments as two teams who victoriously advanced to the Finals.

    The Judges for today’s exuberant Semi Final Rounds included eminent and respected advocates in Dehradun.

    The beguiling Final Round advanced with the participants from the top two teams launching into a show of arduous argumentation. The teams showed perceptible mettle and vigor. The effervescent teams left no stone unturned as they sprinted on each other within genuity and inventiveness. The esoteric questions of the judges kept the participants on the ball as they prudently faced every logistic and exigency. The dynamic show of this intriguing session was filled with facts, proficient foreplay of arguments, profound knowledge of law points, landmark case laws. The Finals witnessed everything from perseverance to skirmish.

    The Judges for today’s zealous Final Rounds included the most senior and respected advocates in Dehradun.

    The exultant Finals were followed by the Valedictory ceremony in which Prof. (Dr.) R.N Sharma, Dean, School of Law; Chairman, Moot Court Society, IMS Unison University warmly addressed the Chief Guest Honorable Justice Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Judge High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan, Jodhpur and participants on behalf of the University. He reiterated the importance of conducting moot court which embibes the normative values in a student. He also, emphasised on overseeing such exhuberent events which succours to inculcate the basic values of court proceedings in a student lawyer. He further, acknowledged the participants for their prodigious perfermormance in the event. 

    The keynote address was delivered by Honorable Justice Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Judge High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan, Jodhpur. He stated, that learning has no termination. He replenished the participants, by dispensing his view, that eminence never comes by vanquishing or loosing, rather taking up condemnation brings up a lawyer, a great one. He further, enlightened the gathering by stating that moot court is a mode of teaching presentation, engaging with the problems of life. He stated the fact that, satisfaction is the prominent facet which is of grave significance. 


    The much awaited results were announced in the following categories:

     

    Winner Team –School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore (TC09) 

    First Runner up team – Army Institute of Law, Mohali (TC21) 

    Second Runner up team – Indore Institute of Law, Indore (TC13) 

    Best Mooter (Male) - Gyan Prakash Kesharvani, Indore Institute of Law, Indore (TC13) 

    Best Mooter (Female) –Ranjitha, School Of Law, Christ University, Bangalore (TC09)

    Best Memorial –Aligarh Muslim University (TC35)

    Best Researcher – HP NLU, Shimla (TC34)


    The winners were also awarded Special Student Access Cards by Event Knowledge Partners, SCC Online.

    The Faculty Co –Convener, Moot Court Society, Ms. Garima Trivedi, expressed thanks and gratitude to the sponsors, participants and the organizing team for successfully conducting this mega event. She invited all the participants to meet again in 2020 in the 8th edition of National Moot Court Competition that School of Law, IMS Unison University proposes to hold.

    The three- day event witnessed participation of 34 teams from reputed Universities and Colleges from all over the country including National Law University Ranchi, Amity University, Kolkata, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, Jaipur National University, Rizvi Law College, Mumbai, CNLU Patna, UPES Dehradun, School Of Excellence Chennai, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia Islamia, beside others.
