‘Travel opens the door of the mind to the big wide world’. The University gives Practical exposure, grooms, and enhances the professional skills of students through short and long trips for its students. Such trips provide an opportunity for the students to interact with renowned professionals and executives. IMS Unison University regularly organises study tours, excursions, and industrial visits to give the students a ‘First-Hand Exposure’ to processes and best practices of the respective sector.
Guest Lectures, Industrial and Rural Visits are an integral part of the School of Management. The School of Management organised an industrial tour for its undergraduate students to Patanjali Food and Herbal Park, Haridwar. The students were exposed to various functional units and operational processes of an FMCG manufacturing establishment and had an enriched learning experience as a key takeaway under the tutelage of Mr. Manmohan Singh Rathore, Head of Administration and Human Resources, Patanjali, Haridwar. The School of Management organised another industrial tour for MBA and Integrated BBA-MBA students at India Glycols Limited, Pharma City, Selaqui, Dehradun The students gained knowledge about the operational working at the manufacturing plant and gained valuable insights into the pharmaceutical Industry. They experienced an enhanced learning opportunity as a significant takeaway.
Periodic Guest Lectures and Workshops on special topics, such as Digital Marketing and Data Analytics, are organised for the benefit of the students.

Educational Trip of MBA Students to Bangalore-Ooty-Mysore

Experiential Learning is the key to success. In its endeavour to achieve this goal, the students of MBA Trimester III were taken on an educational Journey to Bangalore-Ooty-Mysore from 30th March 2019 to 7th April 2019. The students visited the prestigious IIM, Bangalore, where they learnt how to prioritise their expectations for career advancement and capitalise on the opportunities existing in the market for MBA students with different specialisations. The students were also taken to exciting places such as Botanical Garden and Wonderla, the famous amusement park where the students enjoyed different rides. Thereafter, an entry was made into the City of Palaces, which was led by a visit to the grand and beautiful Mysore Palace which extended insights into the royal practices, rites, rituals and advancements made during the historical era and how Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar-IV developed the beautiful palace. The students were taken to the prestigious government-owned Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation, where they were exposed to the process of manufacturing the famous Mysore Silk Sarees. The famous and huge Vrindavan Gardens at Mysore mesmerised the students with its beauty. Learning continued with another industrial visit to the Ooty Tea Factory, where they were made aware of the different types of tea and were explained and exposed to the process of making tea out of the leaf. The visit to Dodabetta Peak at Ooty lent the students a telescopic view of the beautiful city and the Ooty Lake was a fun-filled experience for the students.
