FDP on Development of Communication Skills and Personality Development Day 2

A two day Faculty Development Program on the theme “Development of Communication Skills and Personality Development” was successfully completed by School of Law, IMS Unison University, Dehradun on 12^th June 2019.

On the second day, first session was conducted by Mr. Sukhvinder S, Pashricha, Training and development specialist & hospitality consultant, Dehradun .It was interactive and interesting session focusing on the day today activity of an individual which impacts a lot in one’s life but is always ignored by the individual. The session was full of enthusiasm and actively oriented participants about factors responsible for enhancement of the Personality Development of the faculties and the research scholars.

The second session was conducted by Prof. Divya Saksena, Dean, School of Liberal Arts, IMS Unison University, Dehradun on Development of Communication Skills. Prof. Divya spoke on Academic Integrity and Plagiarism in research and challenges the faculties face during their research work. She explained in detail how to resolve the challenges faced by the teachers and scholars. She also provided details of few websites and sources which may prove good and productive for the research work while undertaking the work and in maintaining Academic Integrity.

The last session of the day was conducted by Prof. Tabrez Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Law, UPES, Dehradun. Prof. Ahmad interacted with the participants on the topic “Intellectual Property Rights and linked it with various subjects related to law and humanities. He also discussed latest cases decided in relation to geographical indications.

The participants raised many issues before the resource persons which were satisfactorily replied by the resource persons. The participants came across new dimensions about the theme particularly the legal aspects.

The Certificates to participants were distributed by the Chief Guest of Valedictory Session, Prof. (Dr.) Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro vice chancellor, IMS Unison University, Dehradun. Prof. Srivastava encouraged participants to actively participate such FDP’S in future, as teaching methods are changing and a teacher is required to be updated accordingly.
