    Inaugural Ceremony of 6th National Moot Court Competition

    IMS Unison University’s 6th National Moot Court Competition proceeded apace, in all its grandeur. The inauguration was preceded today by Chief Guest Honorable Mr. Justice B.S. Verma, President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Uttrakhand, Dehradun.

     

    The day one of the exuberant event, commenced with the registration of the participants which incorporated the receiving of special kits sponsored by SCC Online.

     

    The inaugural ceremony commenced with the welcome address was followed by an overview of the competition by Dr. Saroj Bohra, HOD, School of Law; Chairman Moot Court Society, who expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest for adding lustre to the event by her presence. She apprised the significance of clinical legal education, and the necessity of a systematic approach coupled with logistic application for the growth and invigoration of a law student. 

     

    Professor Dr. M.P. Jain, Chancellor, further enlightened the afternoon by his exhilarating words of wisdom. 

     

    Further, Dr. R.K. Pandey, Vice Chancellor, admonished the august gathering by extending his heartening welcome to the honorable Chief Guest and also extended his greetings to all the participants, from all esteemed universities.

     

    Honorable, Mr. Justice B.S. Verma, President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Uttrakhand, Dehradun, in his adrenalizing declamation, foremost enlightened the gathering about the salience of the knowledge of latest laws, in the rendition of an argument. Further, he acquainted the participants on the exigence of confidence and the articulation of learning and sequencing in the genesis of a legal dialect. He unraveled the gravity of patience and endurance in the life of a budding advocate. He replenished the participants with the insight of the basic elements of mooting and the various terminologies of civil and criminal law.

     

    Ms. Shalini Saxena, Faculty Convener, Moot court Society, School Of Law, concluded the zealous inaugural ceremony with a gratified vote of thanks.

     

    Draw of lots and memorial exchange took place for the preliminary rounds of the Moot Court Competition slated to begin tomorrow. This was followed by researcher test to adjudge the best researcher and an elucidative and edifying session by SCC Online Trainer. The very dynamic first day of the competition ended with the students of School of Law presenting an indelible cultural evening.  Among the 34 teams, few to be mentioned are National Law University Ranchi, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, Jaipur National University, New Law College, BVDV, Pune, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, University Institute Of Legal Studies, Punjab, Amity University, Kolkata, beside others.
