The School of Liberal Arts (SoLA) and the School of Hospitality Management (SoHM), IMS Unison University, Dehradun are organizing a One-Day National Conference on the Occasion of the International Women's Day in March 2024. 

The title of the Conference is Representation of Shifting Gender Roles: ‘Old’ Media, ‘New’ Media and the Workplace

Date of the Conference: Saturday, 16th March 2024.

The Conference Organizing Committee extends a hearty invitation to Academics, Teachers, Researchers, Students and anyone interested in the inter-related fields of Gender, Media and the Workplace (with a special emphasis on the tourism and hospitality industry) to send abstracts for paper presentations and participate in the Conference. We intend to provide a reward for the best paper and publish papers recommended by the panel chairs in a UGC CARE listed journal.

The Conference will be held at the IMS Unison University Campus in Makkawala Greens, Dehradun. Panel Chairs and Keynote speakers include some of the prominent scholarly and activist voices in the field of women and gender studies, media and hospitality.  We believe that the setting of our campus located on the foothills of the Dehradun-Mussoorie Road, and the Mid-March Spring will be a perfect opportunity to discuss cutting edge theories and exchange ideas on issues of gender in contemporary times and enhance collective understanding.
