  • Dr. Madhu Prabakaran
    Prof. & Dean

    Ph.D. (Social Science), MA (Social Work) & MA (English Literature)
    Experience: 15 Years
    Dr Madhu Prabhakaran is a multidisciplinary scholar having 26 years of experience in teaching, research, training, and management. He has pursued various fields of interests such as English Literature, Social Sciences, Social Philosophy, Social Work, Human Resource Management, Management in Government, Social Development, Anthropology, Ecological Conservation, Education, and Spiritual Studies and has published papers in these fields too. He believes social sciences can be disciplinary as well as transdisciplinary as they are connected through methodology, which explains his interest in Liberal Arts. He is an alumnus of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, University of Calicut, and a Ph.D. Scholar from Mahatma Gandhi University. He served in government projects of agriculture entrepreneurship, local administration, forest conservation, and urban development in various capacities as a project manager or consultant. He worked with Kerala Institute of Local Administration Mahatma Gandhi University, Amity University, and in the School of Communication and Management Studies in senior positions. Before Joining IMS Unison he was an Academic Dean of Lorven St. Xavier’s College at Bangalore.
  • Dr. Sujaan Singh Negi

    Experience: 20+ Years of Academic Experience
    Dr Sujaan Singh Negi has a blend of social service activists and academic leaders. He started his career with an NGO. Passion for academics led him into teaching assignments at many Universities of repute. He also taught at Victoria University, Kampala, Uganda, East Africa. He has held various academic and administrative positions at Victoria University, Kampala, and Galgotias University, Greater Noida. Dr Negi brings in over 20 years of rich experience in teaching training, research, Non-Government Organization/Voluntary Organization consulting, and academic administration. Institution building and championing new initiatives has been his forte. He is actively delivering Humanities, Social Sciences, and Liberal Arts programs/Training programmes /Rural Development programs to the Industry Executives. He also handled International Consultancy assignments in Uganda/Kenya and Rwanda. He is a recognized guide and external expert for doctoral programs at various renowned universities. He is also a motivational speaker and has conducted workshops on topics like Creative Decision Making, Habits of Successful people, Relationship Management, and Life Management. Dr Negi is a graduate from HNB Garhwal Central University. He furthered his education by completing his triple Post-graduation, Postgraduate Degree in Social Work, Master's in Sociology, and PG in Political science. He completed his Ph.D. in Sociology from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Institute of Social Sciences, Jhansi. His teaching and research area include Post-Modern Sociology, Cultural Studies, Gender and Justice, Tribal Affairs, Planning, and Development. He has published his research finding in several refereed journals and has presented several papers in Indian and International conferences. He has been bestowed with various awards in recognition of the contribution made to the fields of research at various National & International platforms. Research: 20+, Area of Interest: Post Modern Sociology, Relationship management/Self-management Life Skills, Social Values, and Ethics, Tribal Culture and Affairs.
  • Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadawa

    Experience: 10 Years
    Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadawa is a writer, analyst, and academician. Previously, he served C.M.P. Degree College, Prayagraj (A Constituent College of Allahabad University) as a Guest Faculty (Political Science) and Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University as an Associate Professor of Political Science. He also presented radio talks on different subjects of social sciences at Gorakhpur Akashavani for Shiksha Prasar Karyakram made for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He obtained B.A. and M.A. degrees in Political Science from DDU, Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur. He did his Ph.D. from the same University in 2019 on the topic of “Changing Nature of Public Protest and Political Mobilization (An Analytical Study).” The papers he has been teaching are- Political Theory, Political Philosophy, Indian Government &Politics, International Politics, and Public Administration. He has been trying to promote student-centric teaching-learning and quality research. He developed students ' friendly pedagogy while teaching at various platforms like school, college, and university levels. He has 10 years of teaching experience. Apart from this, he has written articles and blogs on national and international affairs in newspapers and digital platforms on contemporary political issues.
  • Dr. Chhavi Sharma

    Ph.D. ( Sociology), UGC NET (Sociology)
    Dr Chhavi Sharma is a doctorate from IIT Bombay. Her specialization is Urban Sociology, Sociology of Work, and Migration Studies. She was awarded UGC-JRF (Sociology) in the year 2012, she has important publications to her name in peer-reviewed and reputed journals. She has taught numerous courses in Sociology for a year at Manipal University Jaipur.
  • Dr. Shubham Kirar Suryawanshi

    Experience: 1.5 years
    Dr. Shubham Suryawanshi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University Dehradun. He is a dedicated professional having expertise in the areas of Psychology and Counselling. He qualified UGC (NET) in 2017 and Ph.D. in Psychology from GKV, Haridwar. He has completed his M.Sc. (Clinical Psychology) and B.Sc. from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar. Dr. Shubham has published research papers in peer-reviewed journals and participated in national and international conferences.
  • Dr. Ram Prakash

    Ph.D. (History), UGC (NET), MA (History)
    Dr Ram Prakash is an Assistant Professor of History in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. He has done his Ph.D. in History from the School of Ambedkar Studies, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He has been awarded RGNF-JRF Doctoral Fellowship for the year 2011-2012. He has qualified UGC NET in History subject. Previous, he has worked as a faculty of History at Lovely Professional University, Punjab. The subjects taught by him included Modern Indian History, Modern world, History of science and technology in modern India, Revolutions and Revolutionary thought. His research area is Environmental History, Modern Indian History, and Tribal History of India. He has participated and presented papers in academic conferences (national and international) and published research papers in the UGC Care list and peer- reviewed journals. He has also participated and attended workshops/ Programme/Courses like Ten Day Course on Research Methodology workshop Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored, ICSSR-Funded Orientation Programme on Social Science Research, Interaction Programme for Ph.D. Scholars University Grants Commission, Art Appreciation course, and Enhancing communication skills of student in higher Education: Role of Libraries.
  • Dr. Nitish Kumar Arya

    Dr. Nitish Kumar Arya is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University. He has done his Ph.D. from the Department of Economics, Banaras Hindu University, and did his M.A. (Economics) and B.A. (Hons) from Banaras Hindu University. He is having teaching experience of more than 4 years at Economics Section, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, BHU Varanasi and Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar. He was qualified RBI Young Scholar Award Scheme by Reserve Bank of India in 2011. He was awarded UGC-NET and UGC-JRF (Economics) in the year 2014. Dr. Nitish has published 6 research publications indexed in Scopus and UGC-Care. He is working in Public Economics with a special focus on primary Education, Nutritional Status, Enrolment etc. He has participated and presented papers in various academic seminars (National and International) and workshop programs related to Applied Time Series Analysis, Research Methodology and SPSS - Software.
  • Dr. Vandana Chauhan

    Dr. Vandana Chauhan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. She has completed her bachelors and masters degree (M.A. English) from H.N.B. Garhwal Central University, Srinagar. She got the highest percentile throughout her graduate and post-graduate program. She has completed her doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from Gurukala Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar in the domain of Indian Aestheticism. She has actively participated in various National and International Conferences/Seminars/ Workshops. She has published several research papers in peer- reviewed National/International journals. She has qualified UGC- NET exam in December 2019. Her research interest includes Post-Colonial Literature, Indian Literature, Feminist theories, and Diasporic Studies.
  • Ms. Vaishali Suyal

    Ms. Vaishali Suyal is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. She has completed her M.A. in English Literature from Kumaun University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the domain of Indian Literature and Films. She has been actively participating in Conferences, Seminars, and Workshops being conducted from time to time. She has qualified for U-SET (English) in 2018. She is also the recipient of the Certificate of Merit in AISSCE -2010 from the CBSE Board for her outstanding performance in English. She holds more than three years of teaching experience in different capacities. Before joining IMS Unison University, she was associated with Amrapali Group of Institutes, Haldwani, as an Assistant Professor. Her other areas of research interest are American Literature, British Literature, Indian Literature, Literary Criticism, and Theory. She enjoys interaction and discussion on social issues.

    Experience: 5 Years
    Mr. Amit Kumar Rathore is an Assistant Professor at IMS Unison University. He is a master in French, B. A HONS. (English litt. & French) B1 DELF & L.LB (pursuing) qualified to have a diversified experience of more than 6 years in teaching and training in different Universities. He has participated in National & International Seminars, Conferences, and FDPs conducted by National and State Universities. Mr. Rathore has been chosen for Student Exchange Program in France conducted by La Foundation in collaboration with University Catholique d’ouest, Anger (France) in 2016. He has been awarded by Distt. Collector to promote French Tourism in Rajasthan in 2017. His area of interest is language literature and linguistic.
  • Mr. Ritesh Kumar

    Ritesh Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts, IMS Unison University, Dehradun. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Psychology from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He has completed his MA in Applied Clinical Psychology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He received MHRD Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship during his PhD at IIT Roorkee. His research interests are in the area of social and clinical psychology, self and identity, interpersonal relationships�attachment, separation, loss, and grief.
  • Ms. Arunima Naithani

    Ms. Arunima Naithani is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from the School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She was awarded ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship for the year 2018-2020. She is UGC NET qualified in Education subject. She has done her M.Phil. in Educational Studies from JNU and holds a dual master's in Education and Rural Management. She has participated and presented papers in academic conferences (national and international) and have published research papers. She continues to actively engage herself in academic projects. In addition, she also has years of professional experience of working with NCERT and Non-government organizations on education-related and social development projects. Her research area interests are School and Higher Education, Modernity theories, Gender studies, social inequality, and development theories.
  • Mr Gaurav Dimri

    Mr. Gaurav Dimri is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at the IMS Unison University, Dehradun. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Political Science, HNB Garhwal (Central) University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand. He is working on exploring the city system and planning mechanism of the nascent urban area of Dehradun for his Ph.D. He has qualified UGC NET-JRF and U-SET. His teaching and research interest include Political Theory, Research Methodology, Urbanization Studies, Governance, and Policy Issues among other things. He has published two research papers, respectively on administration and governance in reputed UGC-CARE listed journals. He also possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Planning and Development from IGNOU. He takes his inspiration from numerous ancient spiritual and tantric traditions under the umbrella of Indic civilization.

    Mr. Vinod Kumar Pant is an Assistant Professor of History in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. He has submitted his Ph.D. in the dept. of History & Archaeology, HNBGU (A Central University), Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand. He has Qualified UGC NET/JRF-July2016 and he was a Junior Research Fellow from 2017 to 2019 and Senior Research Fellow from 2019 to 2021. His research area is Ancient Indian History and Environmental/Forestry History of India. He has Published/presented research papers in UGC Care listed journals and participated in various Seminars, Conferences and Workshops. He has also participated in National and Inter University level Badminton Championship in Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior level.
