11th International Conference on Health Care Systems and Global Business Issues

11th International Conference on Healthcare Systems and Global Business Issues was inaugurated today in IMS Unison University, Dehradun. This is only the third institution in India where this International Conference is being held. 

 

Prof. R. K. Pandey, Vice Chancellor, IMS Unison University, Dehradun welcomed delegates from far and wide and stated that in a country like India where little government support is provided in healthcare as contrasted with USA and China, there is a huge scope for healthcare businesses to spring up. 

 

Opening the conference, Prof. Ashish Chandra, University of Houston, USA and Conference Program Chair, briefed the audience about the history of the Conference which began in May 2000 in Mexico. He hoped the conference will provide valuable insights and ideas pertaining to healthcare and global business issues to practitioners, academicians, research scholars, students and administrators.

 

Prof. M. P. Jain, Chancellor, IMS Unison University, Dehradun highlighted the fact that since health care entities need to be managed as businesses, it is imperative that people learn about the critical component and principles of business in order to ensure that a successful and vibrant healthcare industry exists.

 

Prof. William B. Stroube, University of Evansville, USA invited delegates to the 12th International Conference on Healthcare Systems and Global Business Issues to be held at Harlaxton College, England, the British study abroad site of the University of Evansville.

 

Prof. Amit Adlakha, 11th Conference Host Institution Chair, detailed the delegates about the conference schedule for both the days. The conference will witness 15 brain-storming technical sessions in which 5 special sessions will be conducted by Healthcare professionals. Three sessions will be devoted for Skype presentations by both domestic and international delegates. 50 High quality research papers on various topics such as changing dimensions of health care, job satisfaction amongst doctors, mental health, menstrual hygiene, euthanasia, etc. will be presented by the participants. 

 

The “Paul T. Bruder Best Paper Award", in the honor of Dr. Bruder who was primarily responsible for the creation of this wonderful intellectually stimulating conference, was awarded to Tulsee Giri Goswami, Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, India  for her paper “Job Satisfaction among Indian Doctors: An Analysis of Public and Private Hospitals.”

 

The Conference has brought together over 130 delegates from 40 national and international universities. Foreign delegates are representing University of Houston, Belmont University, University of Evansville, University of Applied Sciences for Health Care Professionals, Germany, and Cornell University.
