    1st National Mediation Competition Day 1

     

    IMS Unison University’s 1st National Moot Mediation Competition, 2020 proceeded apace, in all its grandeur. The inauguration was preceded today by Chief Guest Honorable Mr. P.K Jain, Former President District Consumer Forum and Former Session Judge Muradabaad, U.P. The day one of the exuberant event, commenced with the registration of the participants which incorporated the receiving of special kits.

     

    The inaugural ceremony commenced with an overview of the competition by Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Sharma, Dean School of Law; who expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest for adding lustre to the event by his presence. He apprised, the significance of Mediation as a system for dispute resolution, and the necessity of a systematic approach coupled with logistic application for the growth and invigoration of a law student.

     

    Professor Gautam Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, enlightened the afternoon by his exhilarating words of wisdom. He addressed august gathering by extending his heartening welcome to the honorable Chief Guest and also extended his greetings to all the participants from all esteemed universities.

     

    Honorable, Mr. P.K Jain, in his adrenalizing declamation, foremost enlightened the gathering about the salience of the knowledge of latest laws, in the rendition of an argument, he further acquainted the participants, on the exigence of confidence and the articulation of learning and sequencing in the genesis of a legal dialect. He unraveled the gravity of patience and endurance in the life of a budding advocate. He replenished the participants, with the insight of the basic elements of mediation and the various terminologies of civil and criminal law.

     

    Dr. Shoaib Mohammad, Faculty Convener, Mediation Society, School of Law, concluded the grand inaugural ceremony with a gratified vote of thanks.

     

    The event was further disseminated into four preliminary rounds. The semifinal rounds are slated to begin tomorrow. The very dynamic first day of the competition ended with the students of showing a show of extreme vigor and enthusiastic deliberations.  Among the 18 teams, few to be mentioned are National Law University Jodhpur, National Law University Nagpur, Amity Noida, Symbiosis Law School Pune, UPES Dehradun, Symbiosis Hyderabad, Law College Dehradun, Delhi Metropolitan Education, Noida, UILS Panjab University, Chandigarh, beside others.
