    70th National Law day

    The School of Law, IMS Unison University celebrated the 70th National Law day on 26th November, 2019. The exuberant event witnessed the presence of Hon’ble Justice U.C. Dhyani, Chairman, Uttarakhand Public Services Tribunal, Government of Uttarakhand as the chief Guest.

    The ceremony commenced with the report of the pre Law day event and the brief significance of constitution day by Ms. Shalini Bahugana Bachheti, Convener National Seminar/Conference Committee, IMS Unison University, Dehradun. The welcome address was articulated by Ms. Shalini Saxena, Chief Organizing head of National Law Day, she expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest for adding lustre to the event by his presence. She evaluated the importance of such events on bringing to light to the importance of Law Day.

    The event commenced with the token of gratitude for welcoming the guest in the university by presenting the bouquet of blooming flowers. Further, Dr. Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro Vice Chancellor admonished the august gathering by extending his heartening welcome to the honorable Chief Guest and also extended his greetings to all the participants and organizing team. He edified the importance of Law in changing times and illustrated the importance of constitution in life of each and every citizen of India.

    Professor Gautam Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, further enlightened the afternoon by his exhilarating words of wisdom.

    Honorable Chief Guest Hon’ble Justice U. C. Dhyani, Chairman, Uttarakhand Public Services Tribunal, Government of Uttarakhand, in his adrenalizing declamation, epitomized the significance of Preamble of our constitution. He further elucidated the meaning and source from which our constitution derives its light, the various articles of the constitution were also reiterated in his exhilarating speech. He illustrated the duties of every citizen toward the nation and how the constitution embodies each and every aspect of law and legislation which molds the structure of our welfare state.

    The event proceeded with the declaration of the results of pre law day events the poster making competition and essay writing competition. The winner of the essay writing competition was Parth Nandwani (BBA LLB VIIth Semester) and Poster making competition were Bhavya Sharma and Aditi Manya (BA LLB Vth Semester).

    Ms. Arnisha Ashraf, Faculty Co-Convener, National Seminar/Conference, School of Law, concluded the event with the vote of thanks.
