    7th National Moot Court Competition Day-1

    IMS Unison University’s 7th National Moot Court Competition proceeded apace, in all its opulence. The inauguration was preceded today by Chief Guest Honorable Mr. Justice Prakash Chand Tatia, Chairman, Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission, Former Chief Justice Rajasthan High Court, Ranchi.


    The day one of the boisterous event, commenced with the registration of the participants; they received kits, sponsored by SCC online.


    The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana and floral felicitation; shadowed by a thought provoking address and an overview of the competition by Prof. (Dr.) R.N Sharma, Dean, School of Law; Chairman, Moot Court Society, who expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest for adding lustre to the event by his presence. He apprised, the significance of clinical legal education, and the necessity of a systematic approach coupled with logistic application for the growth and invigoration of a law student.


    Prof. (Dr.) Gautam Sinha, Vice Chancellor, further enlightened the afternoon by his exhilarating words of wisdom.


    Further, Prof. (Dr.) Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro Vice Chancellor, admonished the august gathering by addressing the Honorable Chief Guest and also extended his greetings to all the participants, from all esteemed universities.


    Honorable, Mr. Justice Prakash Chand Tatia, Chairman, Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission, Former Chief Justice Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi in his adrenalizing declamation, foremost enlightened the gathering about the specifics for the unsoundness of the judicial system in today’s advancing world. He further shared his familiarity of starting his legal practice in the field of law. He also acquainted the participants, on the exigence of confidence and the articulation that an advocate must devour. He unraveled the fluctuating dynamics of justice in today’s world scenario. He replenished the participants with his live experience of the splendor of quarreling of an advocate.


    Ms. Shalini Saxena, Faculty Convener, Moot court Society, School Of Law, concluded the zealous inaugural ceremony with a gratified vote of thanks.


    Draw of lots and memorial exchange took place for the preliminary rounds of the Moot Court Competition slated to begin tomorrow. This was followed by researcher test to adjudge the best researcher and an elucidative and edifying session by SCC Online Trainer. The very dynamic first day of the competition ended with the students of School of Law presenting an indelible cultural evening.  Among the 34 teams, few to be mentioned are National Law University Ranchi, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, Jaipur National University, New Law College, BVDV, Pune, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, University Institute Of Legal Studies, Punjab, Amity University, Kolkata, beside others.
