Bar - Tenders Conclave at SOHM

School of Hospitality Management, IMS Unison University and Bar Academy of Dehradun hosted Bartenders Conclave – 2019 on 22/2/19.India's renowned Bartenders graced their presence to conduct various technical sessions and presentations related to the trade.

At the inaugural session Honorable Chancellor, Prof. Gurdeep Singh conveyed the importance of passion for the trade and how this profession has now grown with social acceptability. Dr Ravikesh Srivastav elaborated on how skill based vocations are emerging on the horizon.

The bar specialists were felicitated by Honorable Chancellor and the officers of the University. Mr Sandeep Verma was felicitated in absentia  the “Achievers Award “ and Bar Star award was felicitated to Mr.Kuldeep Singh, Mr Sam Suman, Mr. Vaibhv Uniyal, Mr. Mr. Piyush Bohra,  in absentia to Mr Jeet Rana , Prateek Gusain , Sanchayan Jana, and Mr. Artim.

The technical session on craft beers and concept of Micro brewery was presented by Mr Vaibhav Uniyal.The session-I included presentation on how to prepare for Bartending Competition was conducted by Mr Kuldeep Singh,Mr Sam Suman presented on how to balance the cocktails. The panel discussion of Bartending profession was moderated by Mr Amit Tariyal and panelist Mr Vaibhav Uniyal, Mr Kuldeep Singh, Mr Sam Suman and  Mr Jagesh Garg fielded the questions put up by the student participants.

The session II was conducted at Advance training Restaurant wherein the bar professionals demonstrated their signature cocktails through student volunteers. Mr. Sam trained students on Bar Tricks and Mr Piyush Bora put up a mesmerizing flair show.
