Students from the School of Mass Communication at IMS Unison University recently participated in an enriching industrial visit to Doordarshan Dehradun and All India Radio (AIR), two of India’s most prestigious public broadcasting organizations. This visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand experience.
During the visit, students explored the broadcast production process, gaining insights into areas such as news reporting, camera operations, studio management, sound engineering, and post-production editing. They observed live telecasts and radio sessions, interacted with media professionals, and learned about the technical and creative aspects of storytelling through sound and visuals.
This experiential learning activity bridged the gap between theory and practice, helping students understand the dynamics of mass communication, government broadcasting, and public information dissemination. The visit inspired young media aspirants to strive for excellence in journalism, production, and digital content creation, reflecting IMS Unison University’s vision of nurturing industry-ready and creative communication professionals.
