    Guest Lecture by Hon'ble Justice Prakash Chand Tatia, on the Topic "Role of Human Rights Commission in Protection of Fundamental Rights"

    On 19th September, The Seminar Committee of School of Law organised a guest lecture. The lecture was delivered  by Hon'ble Justice Prakash Chand Tatia, Chairman, Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission, and former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi on the topic " Role of Human Rights Commission in Protection of Fundamental Rights". Honb'le Justice Tatia presented his thoughts over interpretations of Human rights and confusion in the mind of people pertaining to it. He further added that unawareness regarding tenets of Human Rights have proved itself as a humongous hindrance towards efficient implementation of the same. Human rights being the subject of widest jurisdiction therefore it needs comprehensive and liberal interpretation to achieve its purpose. Hon'ble Justice Tatia presented live examples from his experience where he faced administrative and legislative hurdles. He further interconnected discipline of Human Rights with Right to Life and Right to livelihood and suggested to bring about perfect nature of balance between above mentioned rights.
