INTERNAL FACULTY SEMINAR

On 29^th August 2020, Mr. Nikunj Singh Yadav, Assistant Professor, School of Law, IUU presented a paper titled :  Land Boundary Agreement between India & Bangladesh- The 100th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2015  as part of the Faculty Seminar.  Mr. Yadav discussed about  the dispute related to the enclaves located in India & Bangladesh and the implementation of the Land Boundary Agreement in  resolving such dispute by bringing  a Constitutional Amendment. The central idea of the presentation was the steps taken by both the countries over a period of time through various pacts/agreements.

Quoting a remarkable advise given by the Supreme Court of India in Berubari case, the presentation highlighted how the Indian government resolved the Berubari dispute. In his concluding observation, Mr. Yadav  discussed about the issues of post Land Boundary Agreement which still persist in the region.
