    INTERNATIONAL HOUSEKEEPERS WEEK CELEBRATION AT SCHOOL OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

     

    International Housekeepers Week is traditionally celebrated during the second week in September. Recognized worldwide since 1981, the week honours the efforts and dedication of professionals who maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for their employers and the public. Housekeepers work in schools, health facilities and office buildings, as well as in the hospitality industry and private homes. International Housekeepers Week is an opportunity to show these workers who make our lives comfortable and safe how essential they are and how much they are appreciated.

     

    To recognize the work of the Housekeeping Staff, School of Hospitality Management at IMS Unison University observed International Housekeepers Week celebration on 16-9-2020 with the safety guidlines for the pandemic. The online streaming mesage was delivered by Mr Radhey Shyam, Executive Housekeeper, Hotel JW Marriott, Pune for the hospitality students.

     

    Hospitality students from SoHM did online Poster presentations on the theme.

     

    The online event was followed by offline event -, “Best out of Waste” presentation by Housekeeping staff of the University and a brief appreciation ceremony for them.

    Special Guest Colonel Pranav Kumar, Registrar, IMS Unison University, in his address, elaborated on the importance of House keeping brigade in upkeep of cleanliness and hygiene which has gained higher importance during this pandemic.

     

    Moderators of the event were Mr Rahul Tiwari, Mr Shashi Kant and Mr Devashish Pandey.
