Interdisciplinary Panel on Business Law Transformation in the Digital Era

The School of Law hosted an insightful interdisciplinary panel discussion on "Examining the Role of Commercial and Corporate Law in the Transformation of the Business Landscape in the Digital Era" on October 8, 2025.

The event featured a distinguished panel of experts from academia, industry, and the defense sector. Panelists included Prof. Loveraj Takru, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta; Mr. Amit Sachdeva, a seasoned industry professional; and Col. Manish Khatri, a defense officer and academic collaborator. The session was chaired by Dr. Amit Adlakha, Professor and Dean of the School of Law, and moderated by Ms. Moni Tomar, a faculty member of the School of Law.

During the discussion, the panel explored critical issues shaping today's corporate environment, such as ethics in commercial law, the impact of digital transformation on business and legal practices, and the emerging concept of Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR). The engaging dialogue provided a valuable platform for students to interact with thought leaders and gain insights into how law and technology are redefining business governance in the digital age.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Amit Adlakha emphasized the importance of fostering such interdisciplinary dialogues to prepare future legal professionals for navigating the complex and evolving landscape of corporate and regulatory frameworks.

Overall, the session broadened students' academic perspectives and reinforced IMS Unison University's commitment to bridging the gap between theory and practice through continuous exposure to real-world legal and business challenges.
