Internal Faculty Seminar

In the series of Internal Faculty Seminar, today on 27th Feb 2021, Seminar was organized by School of Law on the topic Personal Data Security vis a vis Right to Privacy. This Seminar enabled the Faculty to understand the relevance Right to Privacy of an individual and the contemporarily laws on Personal data security and privacy all throughout the world. In the Seminar the topic was presented by Ms. Punam Kumari Bhagat, Assistant Professor, School of Law. She explained the concept of privacy, its evolution and status of right to privacy at national and international forum. She also explained the need of data protection laws in current scenario and the data security laws which is in force in every country along with India. She also discussed the salient features of the Data Protection Bill 2019. Finally, she summed up her presentation by identifying the flaws of the bill and giving her suggestion to cope up with such flaws.
