The School of Law at IMS Unison University organized the Judgment Writing Competition 2025, offering students an enriching platform to develop their judicial writing skills. The event saw enthusiastic participation from second to fifth-year law students, each demonstrating strong analytical ability and legal insight as they drafted judgments on a tort law problem centered on the denial of voting rights.
To ensure academic rigor, participants were mentored beforehand on the fundamentals of judgment framing, structure, and formatting. These sessions helped students refine their approach to legal writing, encouraging them to think critically, articulate issues clearly, and apply relevant precedents effectively as they crafted their final submissions.
Entries were evaluated on clarity, legal reasoning, justification, and overall presentation. The competition showcased the students’ growing expertise in judicial analysis and underscored the School of Law’s dedication to cultivating confident, thoughtful, and practice-ready legal professionals.
