    School of Law celebrated the festival of Basant Panchami

    School of Law celebrated on 16th February, 2021 the festival of Basant Panchami which marks the beginning of the Spring season in India. Basant Panchami is said to be an extremely auspicious day, as the devotees worship goddess Saraswati, daughter of goddess Durga. In the Hindu mythology, Goddess Saraswati is considered to be the Goddess of wisdom. She is regarded as the Goddess of knowledge, music, learning and arts.

     

    The event started with the lighting of the lamp and paying floral tribute to the Goddess Saraswati by the Prof Gautam Sinha, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro Vice chancellor, Col. Pranav Kumar, Registrar, Prof. Ram Niwas Sharma, Dean, School of Law, Prof Amit Adlakha, Dean, Student’s Welfare, and the Deans of all Schools of the University. Thereafter the students of School of Law Tanya Srivastava and Pearl Pundir recited Saraswati Vandana to express their devotion to the deity.

     

    The celebration of the festival was embellished when Prof Gautam Sinha, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro Vice chancellor and Prof. Ram Niwas Sharma, Dean, School of Law addressed and blessed the students on the occasion. Last but not the least the event concluded with the distribution of sweets to the students and faculty members.
