School of Mass Communication organizes a webinar on ‘Filmmaking and TV Production’

The School of Mass Communication organized an interactive webinar on the topic ‘Filmmaking and TV Production,’ by prominent Film Director Mr. Debashish Acharya on November 3.

Mr. Debashish Acharya, who has worked on multiple national & regional film and TV projects commenced the webinar by discussing the basics of TV and film production. He spoke about the importance of location survey, call sheets, scriptwriting, and conceptualization of a story. He discussed the process of pre-production, production, post-production of a film, and TV production in detail while emphasizing the importance of groundwork since Film and TV productions are capital and labour intensive. 

Topics such as First Cut (serial wise footage), Speed of a film, Background music, Dubbing of dialogues in a film, Dubbing of dialogues in a serial,Sound Mixing, Lighting, Continuity Sheet, Floor Plan  & Chart, Dialogue Delivery and Recording of dialogues and music, etc. were also discussed in the webinar. 

Mr. Debashish Acharya then proceeded to answer the queries of students and clarified their doubts. The webinar then concluded with a vote of thanks.
