    Valedictory Ceremony of "2nd National Client Counseling Competition"

    The zealous Day 2 of the IMS Unison University’s 2nd National Client Counseling Competition commenced with the briefing of the judges, followed by the draw of lots and the briefing of the clients.

     

    The event for the day was disseminated into Semi Finals and the Finals. The event proceeded with enthusiastic altercations among the 4 teams. The Semi Final rounds witnessed a session of intricate questions by the clients and the prudent explications by the teams. After the exuberant Semi Finals the judges enlisted their respective markings.

     

    The Judges for today’s exuberant Semi Final Rounds included eminent and respected advocates in Dehradun: Advocate Kunal Dey, Advocate Yogender Singh Tomar, Advocate Brij Bhushan, Advocate Rachit Verma, Advocate Anil Kukreti, Advocate Vibhor Trikha, Advocate Shalini Kumari, Advocate Arun Gupta, Advocate Vibhor Moheshwari, Advocate Shubham Joshi, Advocate Prashant Gupta, Advocate Bhupender Sharma.

     

    The Semi Final rounds were followed by the pronouncement of the results of the Semi Finals and the draw of lots for the Finals.

     

    Two teams qualified for the Finals. The Finals endorsed the teams in full action, as they advanced with skillful advocacy and precisely contrived elucidation. The participants were well versed and answered the arduous question put up by the proficient clients with utmost sincerity and meticulousness. The impressive articulation of the participants left the judges in admiration as they evaluated their performance.

     

    The Judges for today’s effervescent Final Rounds included transcendent personalities in Dehradun, Advocate Rajneesh Gupta, Ms. Ramindri Mandrwan IAS (Retd.).

     

    IMS Unison University’s jubilant1st National Client Counseling Competition came to a close today in the Valedictory ceremony embellished by Chief Guest Shri Ashok Kumar (Additional Directorate General, Law & Order, Uttarakhand).

     

    The Valedictory Ceremony eventuated, with the welcome address, by Dr. Saroj Bohra, HoD, School of Law she extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest Shri Ashok Kumar (Additional Directorate General, Law & Order, Uttarakhand).

     

    The welcome address was followed by an overview of the report of the competition by Ms. Falguni Pokhriyal (Faculty Co-Convener). She informed the gathering about the course of the events and praised the participating teams for their sheer hard work and determination. 

     

    Professor Gurdip Singh, Chancellor, further enlightened the afternoon by his words of wisdom.

     

    The keynote address was delivered by Chief Guest Shri Ashok Kumar (ADJ). He sighted the importance of cooperation and coordination in the legal system, the need for improvement of victim oriented benefit policies, the synergy that holds the branches of justice driven policies in the political and social spheres impacting the criminal justice system and the promotion of reformative ideologies.

     

    The much awaited results were announced in the following categories:

     

    Winner Team – Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad (awarded merit certificate, trophies, cash prize of 10,000 rupees)

     

    First Runner up team – UPES, School of Law, Dehradun (awarded merit certificate, trophies, cash prize of 7,000 rupees)

     

    Best Counselor – Mallika Bansal, IFIM, Hyderabad (awarded merit certificate, trophies, cash prize of 3,000 rupees)

     

    Best Client – Shivendu Chauhan (awarded merit certificate, trophies, cash prize of 1,000 rupees)

     

    The Faculty Convener Dr. Shoaib Mohammad expressed thanks and gratitude to the sponsors, participants and the organizing team for successfully conducting this mega event. He invited all the participants to meet again in 2019 in the 3rdedition of National Client Competition that School of Law, IMS Unison University proposes to hold.
