Waffle Making-Open Workshop

"Waffles, a food item that began it's journey as a bland cake, has through ages, become a versatile dish popular as a breakfast, tea snacks or simply enjoyed dessert." 

An open workshop on "Waffle Making" was organized at School of Hospitality Management on 4/9/19 to train hospitality students, cookery club members and culinary hobbyist (Faculty/Staff members) in the art of making, one of the most popular breakfast/tea snack/ dessert preparation around the world.

The resource person for the workshop was Chef Abhay Chamoli. The workshop elaborated upon the origin of waffles, ideal recipe, technique and hands on practice session for the participants. The standard recipe for waffle –basic batter along with special waffles namely Classic Belgian, American & Brussels style waffles, Pineapple Drive and Sunfeast Orange were enthusiastically prepared and practiced by members of Cookery Club from various schools.
